Sadly, I am at risk of an inherited genetic disorder called Huntingdon’s Disease, a condition that damages nerve cells in the brain and gets worse over time. Testing to establish whether I will definitely develop the disease is not something I have chosen to do for personal reasons.

However, I am certain that I do not want my children to be at risk from this awful disease. Sam and I would love to be able to have a happy and healthy family. We’ve discussed all the options available to us and we believe egg donation is the best way for us to have children.
